I happened to come across this old picture of NASA Scientist Dr. Swati Mohan that caused quite a frenzy on internet🌐🌐. The case in point was that this woman led one of the most courageous space programs in history while wearing a non-conventional bindi! 🔴🔴
Although people went gaga 🔊🔊 over the humility she portrayed, I was left to wonder if such age-old traditions like wearing a bindi have been left to be followed by those selected few! 👵👵 Do we not end up seeing such people as orthodox, old-fashioned, non-yummy mummies and aunties?
While in our race to modernity🛫🛫 we are leaving behind such beautiful customs, people like Swati Mohan remind us that it doesn’t have to be that way! In fact, beauty lies in carrying them both together with dignity! 🤴🤴
