Think of all those job applications when you never heard back from employer, or where you were left thinking if you are perfect fit for the job at all! Sounds familiar? Bots have the power to revolutionise recruitment industry by boosting up jobseeker engagement. On the human resources side, chatbots can help you to:

  • Qualify a large number of candidates within a short span of time.
  • Collect basic information such as resumes & contact information.
  • Preliminary screening of candidates.
  • Rank applicants based on some metrics such as qualification etc.
  • Answer FAQs about the job and application process.
  • Schedule an interview with a recruiter.
  • and so on…

As an example, consider Mya, a recruitment bot that can talk and engage with candidates through a simple messaging app. It is able to record data and will also answer questions posed by the candidates.

Like for all other similar cases, AI here should be seen as an aid, and NOT a replacement for our dear talent acquistion colleagues. Expectation would be that such implications take over the repetitive and mundane tasks out of recruiter’s life.
